Class Name: Summer Crossbody Bag
Class Description: Summer is a busy time! Create a bag that will meet all the needs of a busy summer lifestyle. We’ll be making a modified version of a great pattern designed by Jenny of Sincerely, Jen Patterns. The bag will be constructed with waterproof canvas – a durable fabric that is also domestic machine friendly. This will become your go-to-bag this summer and for seasons to come!

Time: Session 1 10:30- 1:30 Session 2 10:30-3:30

Fee: $90.00 (+$50.00 to instructor for kit)

*SPECIAL NOTE: The fabric the sample was made with has become unavailable – a photo of the replacement is included
Class one will be for cutting out the pattern and making the strap
Class two will be for bag construction

Supplies list:
• Kit – $50.00 (payable to the instructor before class)
• Pattern – included in kit – you will receive a code to download the pattern at no charge – please download and print the pattern before class
• Heavy duty thread – available at Blaine’s (please don’t substitute without asking instructor)
• All purpose thread to match the heavy-duty thread
• Needles – size 100 topstitch
• Sewing machine in good working order
• A narrow foot for your machine (a zipper foot may also work – check with instructor)
• Wonder clips – at least 25 (NO PINS!)
• Sewing supplies – good scissors, thread snips, small ruler, rotary cutter, marking tool of your choice (chalk wheel or mechanical pencil works well)
• Please wind 2 bobbins using the all purpose thread before class
• Optional – pattern weights
