Have you ever admired a quilt with lots of pointy stars or flowers… and all the points matched perfectly? The quilt was probably paper pieced. This class will teach the basics of this skill. Once you learn, you’ll be addicted! Sewing the blocks is easy. The hardest part is getting organized and placing the first piece exactly where it belongs. This class will cover both organizing for success and sewing the blocks.

Supplies: All materials listed below are carried by Blaine’s
and you get a 20% discount for this class.
• Sewing machine with straight stitch foot (and manual, just in case)
• Straight stitch sole plate, if you have one
• 3 fat quarters: 2 for the flower and 1 for the background
• Universal needle size 90/14
• Thread
• Clips or flower head* pins to hold pieces together (* pins with a flat, plastic head)…OR 5 baggies, snack or sandwich size
• Cushion for chair
• 45 mm rotary cutter with a new blade
• Bohin glue pen/ Sewline glue pen
• If you have a small iron and wool mat, bring it to iron at your seat.
• Your usual sewing supplies
