Log Cabin Christmas Wreath Wall Hanging

The log cabin quilt block is a center square (typically red) with a frame of light fabrics and contrasting dark fabrics. It has been popular since the 1800’s. The blocks can be arranged in many ways and in different color schemes to create stunning designs for any occasion! In this pattern, nine log cabin blocks are arranged using the lights and darks to make a ‘wreath’. You will learn how to make this quilt block using full strips of fabric and chain sewing.. This method eliminates cutting each strip within the block to size separately before sewing. It’s a great time saver!!
