SUMMARY:Rulerwork 102
DESCRIPTION:*Prerequisite: Ruler Work 101\nNow that you’ve mastered straight lines\, you’re ready to conquer curves. You will learn to stitch continuous curves. This design has many applications which we will explore during class. We will continue using the Handi Quilter Versa Tool (the same one we used for straight-line stitching). You may also bring other quilting rulers with curves if you have them.\nPlease arrive at least 15 minutes before class to set up your machine.\nInstructor: Marilynn Bouclin \nSupplies: All materials listed below are carried by Blaine’s.\n•Machine with ruler foot\, foot pedal and some kind of extension table\n•Sewing machine manual\, just in case\n•Cushion for chair. (the seats are low).\n•Quilting Needle for your machine\, 90/14.\n•Threads for top and bobbin- your choice of color\n•Handi Quilter Versa Tool or another ruler with a slight arc\n•Machingers (gloves for gripping fabric)\n•(1) 15 inch square muslin quilt sandwich. We will assemble it during class OR you can assemble it at home: draw a 12 inch square and section it off into(9) 4 inch squares. It will look like a 9 -patch quilt block. Not sure? Wait until class.\n•(1) 6 inch square muslin quilt sandwich. We will assemble it during class OR you can assemble it at home: draw a 6 inch square and section it off into(1) 4 inch square. Not sure? Wait until class.\n•Spray baste. I recommend 505.\n• Supreme Slider (a mat you place on your machine to help your material move)\n•Self-threading needles\n•Marking pen. I recommend the blue\, wash away one or Frixion pen.\n•Spacing Gauge or the small 1” x 6” ruler. You will need to make ¼” increments\nCreative Grids Machine Quilting Tool Smiley\n•Any other notions you need for sewing\n***Ruler Work 103 will use the 4-in-1 Bernina Ruler for continuous curves and scallops or the Westalee Scallop Ruler\, if you decide to continue.***
